Summary:
Arran has been a barrister-at-law  and arbitrator, since 2003, and is  co-author of the Irish legal text book Arbitration Law. He was a part time law lecturer at  Dublin City University, from 2004-2008, teaching in a number of DCU's Schools, a tutor at the Law Society of Ireland from 2006-2009 and a tutor at the University of Limerick in 2008-9.  He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of a number of domestic and international arbitral panels. Arran acts in arbitrations as arbitrator, he has been nominated and/or appointed as arbitrator by the CIArb and SIMI, or as counsel. He has often contributed to  the Bar Review, Commercial Law Practitioner, Irish Law Times and the Employment Law Reports.  He has done pro-bono work for FLAC, (Dublin's) Northside Community Law Centre and the Bar Voluntary Assistance Scheme. 
 
Outline areas of practise:  
Arran has a strong background in Arbitration and EU Law but has a general practice and works in Dublin, Ireland and on the South Eastern circuit (Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and Tipperary). He has full rights of audience in the Republic of Ireland and appears regularly in  a range of courts in both civil and criminal matters. Arran has been a member of the Refugee Legal Service Panel of Barristers since 2004, a member of the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement's Legal Panel since 2008 and later that year also joined the  Department of Defence's Legal Aid Panel. He is a Door Tenant at  Guildford Chambers.
